  1. I bought Wii Sports Resort last weekend and have not left my apartment yet it seems. While every game is pretty much DOPE, especially basketball and frisbee, the pink pong kills it. And these swords take it over the top. Girls love it, guys love them, it really fells like you are in the game, especially because you are playing with you own Mii. I want to buy more things like these swords for the game, does anyone know if more stuff is coming out?

Oh, it be. The device, as others have explained, has a fatal flaw. Do not buy this without understanding that fact. You need to set the game up and THEN attach the blade at the last second after starting the game with the sword off. How their “engineers” missed this issue is astonishing. No way is this worth $19. I got it at Circuit City for ten and I feel ripped off. Seriously, the product really should carry a disclaimer and ought to be discontinued. False advertising. It’s bad.

Like the others have reported, this device is pure junk. Im shocked Amazon even sells this.

  4. This is the stupidest thing I have ever seen. Nerf is going to lose LOTS of money on this. How this was released blows my mind. Apparently they don’t have a QA department. As soon as the sword goes on top of the sensor it stops working. This CANNOT work.

Horrible product and all of these will be returned by any parent that watches their child get upset that they are excited for a defective toy.

One of the worst kids items I have ever seen. Nerf deserves everything they get in negative revenue for this one.

These swords do not attach securely enough to the Wii remote. The first time we used them (with Wii Sports Resort), my kid’s sword detached from the remote and flew like a rocket straight into the TV and broke the screen. I am now $700 poorer after replacing the TV.

I’m sure the manufacturer might have all sorts of reasons why this was a fluke, and might even cite user error. But if you can’t depend on a smart, responsible 9-year-old to install the sword correctly, then the product is poorly designed.

Avoid, avoid, avoid unless you have better homeowner’s insurance than I do.
