I bought these cables because I have a receiver and other cables only split the last 5 inches or so. These cables can be split further back by peeling them apart, so it worked for my situation and reached. However, after 3 months it stopped working. No visible defects, no cuts, damage, no excessive heat. Just one day no output to TV or receiver. I plugged the composite adapter that came with the Wii back in and it worked fine. Also, before it quit, my video would get bad static once in a while while playing… I wondered what it was. Now I know. Crappy cables. I dont recommend them.

I’m not impressed with this set of cables at all. They worked ok at first and then after a week or two, I started getting faded colors, warping colors, etc… All I have to do however is play with the cables and move them around a bit and it might put the colors back to how they should be. I got these because I really wanted to have the higher resolution, but what a waste of money. Don’t buy these and hopefully Nintendo will come out with HDMI on their next console.
