I read the negative reviews for this game and still bought it. I LOVE
it! Now, I’m not a video gamer…this one of a “very few” I’ve played…
I love sports, but I like something easy to play and don’t care about too much realism or rules. I like a game you ccan play right out of the package. This one fits the bill. Fanatics beware….It’s probably not
as detailed as Madden or other formats…so what, I like it!

This is definitely not EA Sports’ best game. The first game I started, I saw the cartoon referee and thought, “Oh, no. This is gonna be a cartoon game.” I thought it wouldn’t be like a REAL EA Sports game, and in some ways it isn’t. The one rule I have about Wii games is NEVER EXPECT ANYTHING. If you expect that this will be exactly like previous NCAA Football games, then you’ll hate it. If you expect it to be just a football game, then you will not be disappointed. I haven’t played one of these games since NCAA Football 2000, so I had no expectations besides it being a college football game.
On to the game: I have to agree with other reviewers that the graphics aren’t awesome, but, at least to me, that’s absolutely fine. They’re good enough to make it look like a modern-era game (i.e. 21st century) so they aren’t that distracting. I think that EA needs to move away from the “everyone can play video games” motto and move toward creating a good, practical game. The advanced controls aren’t even advanced! To snap the ball, act like you’re snapping the ball with the Wii Remote. To throw, hold the correct button and make a throwing motion. If these are advanced, I’d cringe at the “All-Play” controls.
Overall, this is an awesome game if you just want a football Wii game (which come few and far between). If yo’re a hardcore EA gamer, you’d be better off getting a different game. This is incredibly fun once you let go of expectations. The only complaint is that they have you “celebrate” by waving the Wii remote and that gets very tedious very quickly. Otherwise, this game would’ve gotten a 5-star rating. This is one of the best football games I’ve played.

This game is a Christmas gift for my 13 year old grandson. He is familiar with the game and it was at the top of his Christmas wish list.
