We have two little jedi’s at our house. our three year old squealed with delight when he opened this for Christmas and then squealed again when we put the batteries in and it glowed. (The game “lightsaber duels” is great too). Both of our boys (7 and 3 ) are having a blast and the fact that they make lightsaber sounds is just to cool.

This item is a really neat addition to the Lightsaber Duel Game. The one issue with them is that they are too heavy and awkward for a child to hold and use with the Wii controller attached. The only way a child could play using the Lightsabers would be to hold it with two hands. This is not an option since they also have to use the nunchuck to play the game, which adds to the difficulty of controlling the lightsaber. Would not recommend for young children (under 8).

I bought these for Christmas and they were great until one of the plastic bits broke off. Definitely not good for active children used to “real” lightsabers.
