My child and his friend played or should I say tried to play this game, and got frustrated with it very quickly. They both said it was to hard to keep up with. I don’t recommend buying this game if your tolerance level is low : (

I was reading the other reviews of this game. I liked it a lot. For those of us who cant plunk down 90 bucks for guitar hero this is a fun game with enough challange but isnt too hard. I tend to get kinda bored with video games but I found myself still playing this one 45 minutes later. Yes it makes your hand cramp a little, exactly like trying to play a guitar, if youve ever tried that, and you have to stretch your fingers and pay attention to where they are, but atleast you dont get gouges or calluses like with a real guitar and for those of us who are never going to be *your favorite guitar player here* its fun, builds up similar skills and doesnt take up as much room in the closet when the strings break and you cant justify getting new ones cause you just dont play it that much.

I bought this game for $15 at Target in Minneapolis, I was excited to score one of the more popular genre of games for so cheap so I figured I’d give it a flyer. I attached the four colored attachment over my wii remote and it was off by one when I’d hit the red button it would recognize the yellow marking on the TV and when I got to the end (I think it was the blue) I had no idea what to push for it.

Any resolution to this because I can’t believe Nintendo would let such a scam of a game through their ranks this blatantly?

Bought for [...] Biggest waste of money ever. Traded it in at Game Stop, but it is such a bad game, they only gave me[...] credit for it! Hand piece is very unconfortable to hold, even for an adult male. You only get one song to play until you do well enough on it to unlock another one. We never got past the first song. When you miss a note, the game makes a short ring or buzz noise, which is the most annoying thing about the entire game. Even if you hit a couple notes on target and hear a little of the song, you mostly just hear this buzz sound over and over. Emailed the company and told them about my frustrations, but did not receive a reply. Nothing like Guitar Hero.

Really, I can’t compare this against Rock Band or Guitar Hero(I have never played either of them). And at first, I was having a lot of trouble getting anywhere with this game, I was hitting the buttons and the game just wasn’t recognizing it. First, you have to remember to move the stick on the nunchuck as you hit the button on the remote. But, I was still having issues. Finally, I went into settings and discovered there is a left handed mode. Now, I am right handed, but once I switched it to this mode, I was hitting every note!(well, almost.) So, if you are having trouble getting a good score, try switching to left handed mode. I didn’t have any trouble accidentally hitting the smaller buttons(home for example) but I did have some problems at first remembering which color corresponded with each finger(hard to look at the remote and the screen at the same time you know..) I have to add, I bought this game, clearanced at $20. That made it well worth it to buy it, and I am happy with my experience with it, plus I am much happier that I don’t have to store a huge guitar! The plates that clip on are easy to get on and off(well, a little hard to get off, but not much, which is really what you want). I think, having played the game, that I would be satisfied with my buy even if it had been more expensive. It was just nice(and a big bonus, really) to find a cheap wii game that is very enjoyable!
